The Story
Zen Spa, nestled along the coast of Delaware, offers a peaceful escape from daily life with a wide array of services dedicated to rejuvenation and wellness for both locals and visitors to the area. The spa specializes in personalized massage therapies, advanced skincare treatments, and restorative body treatments that combine traditional techniques with modern wellness practices. With a focus on holistic health and a serene ambiance, Zen Spa provides a sanctuary where guests can relax, recharge, and reconnect. Zen Spa faced challenges in establishing a strong online presence, as a templated website and limited search visibility prevented it from reaching its full potential. While the spa had collaborated with D3 on previous print projects, founder Stacey Wetzstein knew she needed a comprehensive solution to boost social media engagement, enhance website visibility, and make it easier for customers to learn about the spa’s wide range of services.
Our Journey
D3’s journey with Zen Spa began with a deep dive into their existing website, where the team quickly identified gaps in search engine indexing and content relevancy. Zen Spa’s previous site struggled to showcase the spa’s unique luxury appeal and varied services. Collaborating closely with Stacy, the D3 team created a custom site featuring advanced SEO tactics tailored for Zen Spa’s unique offerings and local competition.
D3’s content strategy team reviewed and reworked existing content, integrating location-based keywords, “luxury spa” descriptors, and service-specific terms to improve search visibility. Since Zen Spa caters to a wide variety of guests, including vacationers looking for an all-encompassing spa experience, the team highlighted keywords for destination spa services. The design features calming visual elements, highlighted by a professionally produced hero video that offers a glimpse into the serene ambiance Zen Spa creates.
With Zen Spa’s broad range of services— it was important to present the “experience” visually. The D3 multi-media team captured the spa's soothing environment and key services, bringing the new website to life with personalized imagery. Hero videos and service page visuals gave visitors an immediate sense of relaxation in a calming setting, establishing Zen Spa as the premier destination spa in the area.
To further elevate their brand, previously static e-blasts were re-worked into live-text content, allowing these to be indexed and contributing to SEO while giving customers instant access to promotions and updates. D3 applied Zen Spa’s voice—balancing the serene, “Zen” tone they desired with optimized content designed to perform in search engines.
Zen Spa also looked to improve its social media presence which allowed our social team to develop an engagement-focused strategy for Facebook and Instagram. One approach centered around Zen Spa’s “Zen Faves”—highlighting top services to attract both new and returning customers. Each month, a different service is selected to feature, allowing clients to discover more about Zen Spa’s specialties.
Our approach emphasized authenticity and consistency, posting only original photos and videos. With IG Reels now prioritized by the platform, our team creates three monthly reels to keep Zen Spa’s content fresh and engaging. Our posts also feature staff members in “testimonial posts,” sharing their personality and expertise with potential clients. Stacy’s positive personality shines through in the posts, adding an individualized touch that resonates with their audience.
