Delaware Elevator, Inc., a fourth-generation family owned and operated business, has roots as far back as the 1930’s in Wilmington, Delaware. The company was officially established and headquartered in Salisbury, Maryland in 1946 and has grown into one of the largest independent elevator corporations in the United States. Delaware Elevator has expanded its footprint from Wilmington, Delaware all the way down to the Florida Keys, offering a full range of services, including maintenance, repair, and installation of high-quality elevator equipment.

Our Journey – Elevating Success

For over a decade, D3 has proudly partnered with Delaware Elevator, providing a comprehensive suite of digital marketing services. As Delaware Elevator grew, their online presence needed to reflect their expanding operations. The old website struggled to keep up with the company’s growth, and it was clear that a digital overhaul was necessary.

Recognizing the need for a more modern and effective online strategy, Delaware Elevator entrusted D3 with not only redesigning their website but also spearheading the rebranding of their manufacturing arm, Delaware Elevator Manufacturing, into DEM Elevating Equipment. This rebranding and website overhaul were critical in maintaining Delaware Elevator’s competitive edge.

D3’s approach was to create custom website designs that encapsulated the values Delaware Elevator holds dear—family-owned roots, local growth, and a global reach. The new DEI website boasts a sleek, industrial design that organizes content effectively and streamlines user inquiries. It also showcases Delaware Elevator’s impressive portfolio, highlights their specialties, and services, and promotes career opportunities.

For DEM Elevating Equipment, D3 crafted a distinct online presence that separates it from Delaware Elevator while emphasizing its role in the non-proprietary elevator equipment market. The new site features a standout design with detailed elevator component guides for easy navigation. Additionally, DEM’s team now enjoys a personalized, private Power Unit Configurator, enabling them to generate detailed quotes quickly and efficiently.

“D3 has been so helpful and responsive,” said Charley Meeks, Marketing Director for Delaware Elevator. “They took my ideas and ran with them. The team kept the brand image and identity that I love about Delaware Elevator because it is such a strong brand but accelerated it when it came to our online presentation.”

Meeks prioritized a locations portfolio on the new website to highlight prominent projects including the Smithsonian, the Washington Monument, the National Gallery of Art, the Museum of the Bible, and the Museum of the American Indian. Delaware Elevator covers everything from elevators on marine vessels, Navy ships, and oil rigs to residential elevators and handicap lifts.

“We do everything. If it goes up and down, we can do it,” added Meeks.

Due to the company’s IP address being associated with the Salisbury office, it was difficult for Delaware Elevator to be recognized on Google in the broad locations where they operate. With D3’s help, they now have landing pages that drive online traffic to the website from these individual locations up and down the Eastern Seaboard.

I receive constant web inquiries from Washington DC, the Florida Keys, Orlando, Charlotte, Charleston—it is every couple of minutes. This is solely due to the work D3 has done for our company.”
